ADRENOCHROME MONOSEMICARBAZONE is a hemostatic agent that promote the clotting and prevent the blood losses.Adrenochrome Monosemicarbazone is an oxidative product of adrenaline (chemical messenger) that constricts the blood vessels to reduce the blood flow. This process stops bleeding and also promotes clot formation.
ACTION:-
It is believed to reduce capillary fragility, control oozing from raw surface and prevent microvessel bleeding. e.g epistaxis,haematuria, secondary haemorrhage from wound,etc. It's efficacy is uncertain.
USED:- Treatment of bleeding.
SIDE EFFECTS:-Injection site reactions (pain, swelling, redness).
