Cloxacillin is for use against staphylococci that produce beta-lactamase.  MECHANISM OF ACTION:- By binding to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall, cloxacillin inhibits the third and last stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis.
