It works by slowing down the heart rate and relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body. Pharmacodynamic:-  Carvedilol reduces tachycardia through beta adrenergic antagonism and lowers blood pressure through alpha-1 adrenergic antagonism.
