BRAND NAME:- ADAFERIN ,ADAPEN,ADAPLE,ACLENE 0.1% gel; 



ADAPALENE is a newer synthesis tretinoin like drug and it is a third generation  topical retinoid , primarily used in treatment of mild and moderate acne. 



ACTIONS:- it is a newer synthesis tretinoin like drug which binds directly to the nuclear retinoic acid receptor and modulates keratinization and differentiation of follicular epithelial cells. It also exerts anti-inflammatory action ; comedone formation is suppressed. In acne vulgaris it is as effective but less irritating than tretinoin. It remains stable in the presence of benzoyl peroxide; can be combined with it.


DOSE:- Apply once daily at bed time.


USED:- in treatment of acne, pimple .It works by affecting the growth of cells and decreasing swelling and inflammation.


SIDE EFFECTS:- skin redness, rashes, dryness, itching mild burning etc.
