BRAND NAME:-ACRINOL 0.1% acriflavine cream.

                         (   TRIPLE DY ) the triple dye lotion contain gentian violet 0.25% + brilliant green 0.25% + acriflavine 0.1% 

 

Acriflavine these are orange yellow acridine active against gram-positive bacteria and gonococci. Their efficacy is not reduced by organic matter and is enhanced in alkaline medium. Solution lose efficacy on exposure to light – store in  amber bottles. They are non irritant and do not retard healing –particularly suitable for chronic ulcers and wounds . Bandage impregnated with acriflavine - Vaseline is used for burn dressing.

It is a DYES class Or MISCELLANEOUS DRUG 

(DYES means a soluble in acid & insoluble in basic solution )


USED:- For burns and for dressing umbilical stump in neonates.

 Chlordiazepoxide Brand name:- Librium 10, 25 mg tabs; Equilibrium 10mg tab. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
